On January 12, 2015, the Avengers Age of Ultron trailer 2 came out. In case you haven't seen it yet, here it is since I will be making all references to it. If you haven't seen the first one, that is also important before you read this, or you may not understand some parts. I put it on the 'Upcoming Movie News' page which you can find at the top of my blog. Also, not all my post will be this long, just the reviews!
I personally prefer the second trailer to the first one for a few reasons.
Firstly, I think this one tells more about the plot. In the first one, it was more a background, but I feel that this one stated the plot more than the other one. The first was still an important trailer, but I think that the second one should have came out first, and the first one should have come out after.
Additionally, I think this one has more things that could make you curious about the story. In the first and the second, you see Thor kind of threatening Tony Stark by picking him up by his throat. But in the new one, they emphasise more about how Iron Man has turned assumedly 'bad' as they show him in his new suit that can surpass The Hulk.
Finally, I think that it shows more of the threat that Ultron is as he states "I'm going to tear you apart from the inside" which I feel is more powerful than what he stated about the Avengers in the first trailer. You can tell right away in the first that he is bad, but in this one it more states that he wants to break them apart compared to just scaring them and making them worry.
I will admit that they should have added the fact that the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were in it, because they did do that a bit. I think both trailers are captivating and could make someone want to watch the movie, but I think this one is better for the people who might not know as much about Marvel. In the first, I could understand most of it, but my friends who weren't really Marvel fans got quite confused. They understood more in this trailer, even without me explaining anything.
I do also know that Marvel sometimes gives too much away by having too many trailers with too many different clips. In the review for X-Men Days of Future Past, by the YouTube channel Beyond the Trailer, she said 'I thought many people would think this revealed too much' and proceeded to say how it was good that it was the last trailer. I hope they don't do this with Age of Ultron, because I really look forward to seeing this movie.
